Ms A recovered £5,000

Ms A was pregnant with her third pregnancy and following a prolonged labour was taken to theatre for a caesarean section.

Following the c-section, it was noted that the client had suffered an iatrogenic bladder injury.

During the repair to the bladder, it was noted that one layer of the uterus had been closed and that some sutures had gone through the bladder and therefore this also required repair.

Ms A suffered pain and suffering as a result of the injury and need for repair.

Ms A also underwent a sterilisation procedure as she wanted to avoid future pregnancies as a direct result of the injuries suffered.

The allegations were set out to the Defendant who denied liability in full. We managed to settle the claim for £5,000.
