“I have always been bothered by the dark hairs on my face and saw a beauty therapist advertised locally, who was working from her own home I decided to try them.
I had 1 session of treatment and then on the next session I started to notice that the temperature felt warmer and more painful than usual. After expressing my concerns, the therapist advised me that she had to increase the temperature for the ‘stubborn hairs.’
Despite being reassured, I suffered from burns to my face. I went back to the therapist the next evening to show her and she gave me some cooling gel for my face and a refund.
The burns on my face were painful and blistered. They were uncomfortable and crusty whilst they healed. I was in pain and I felt very embarrassed, I felt very upset and became very anxious about it all.
I instructed Attwaters they took my case on. It turned out that the therapist didn’t have insurance and was ignoring the claim, they persevered and kept me updated throughout the process they arranged for me to see a plastic surgeon to discuss treatment for my scarring.
